Curator’s comment: What a lovely fanart! I particularly a big fan of her and noticing some of my most favorite characters in this pic made me happy. Such a voice actress with wide range, but of course her roles in the small adorable characters are just the best.

Curator’s comment: I’ve seen and scraped several stuffs he posted through the #general-illustration channel and he really is a being with a different build because look at the range of stuffs he can make (not mentioning the animation series he is well-known with). The first pic really screams him in the most artistic way, while the other slideshow I put here really shows how expressive this guy can go with a simple humble brush (with texture)

Curator’s comment: Wow, have I said that we are in need of more pixel artist? I think dude just delivered here with his submission with his OC on the line. I like how with a simple lighting we can see a “mood” here. I wonder what the character is thinking or looking to (probably something bright that is brighter than my future)

Curator’s comment: Y’know, I am always a goner (with a single “o”) for a medieval-fantasy witch design. I do think that the trope alone unlocks so many potential and artistic freedom to basically any designs that “screams in aura”. The alluring wink particularly caught my attention while scrolling down the channel. And purple being one of my favorite color kinda intensify every other things. And damn, her EARS

Alright and for the second pic is probably the author’s OC which is in quite of a situation right here. An intense sword fight that sparked my interest, I liked how it instantly directs your eye with the overall composition, and the atmosphere is really well set up as well. Really well done!

Curator’s comment: Y’know, I know a masterpiece when I see one. And holy damn 5 HOURS???? dude is cracked. The lighting, the details, and the mood is too good and really making you ask whether it really is 5 hours. But knowing the guy in question, it’s legit.
While I don’t know if there is any backstory or any reference for the overall concept, one thing that particularly caught my interest is how calm the spectators were. Are they the staff, the “important” guys, or the one that is so influential that this particular situation is normal for them. Were they been worshipping a giant egg all this time? I honestly want to know more about the story behind this piece.

Curator’s comment: this pic got 6 fire emoji in the time of me scraping it, and it triggered my inner furry soul as well. I believe I have seen the style before but I forgot. But hey! One’s art style is often influenced by many other art styles and I think this is a great attempt! The lighting particularly is really well done here, intensifying that sinister, “bombastic side eyes”, look from her (it’s a she, right?)

Well there you have it! Beberapa aktivitas yang muncul dalam channel ilustrasi di Genshiken dalam kurun waktu seminggu ke belakang. Semoga edisi selanjutnya bisa keluar dalam 1-2 minggu juga (semoga saya juga cukup produktif). Post ini berakhir dengan bahasa yang campur-campur, tapi eh, kita bawa santai saja, I guess? Haha
